Wednesday, February 08, 2006 ::: BLACK IS THE COLOUR Alexis Strum is back!!! I guess a lot of people didn't even know she put out a song before, but indeed she's previously released the wonderful 'Bad Haircut' tune and also 'Nothing Good About This Goodbye' which eventually became a Rachel Stevens' song but sadly it just ended up the same being the most brilliant hidden gem in pop. She's now back with a new video "It Could Be You". Although there's nothing special about the re-recorded vocals, the song's been re-arranged in a more radio-friendly manner, which means a little more drums and harmonies thus making the song a little louder and a lot livelier, which can never be a bad thing. You can watch the video here via her official website. Concept - girl walking down the aisle in a fast train. That's it. But it does go with the song, and since it's Alexis Strum's second attempt in making a huge debut I can only offer her my support. Go watch it, and let's all hope she'll make it big like James Blunt did. For those who still hasn't realized the greatness in the Corrs' latest release 'Home', log on to AOL's CD listening party and you have 1 week to listen to the CD in its ENTIRELY before its official release in America. I have posted my review of this traditional Irish album long ago and given it a 10/10 rating and if you're still not owning a copy you really should at least give your ears a chance this time round. And my favorites will still be "Black is the Colour", "My Lagan Love", "Old Town", "Spancill Hill", "Heart Like A Wheel" and you know I can just go on and eventually list out all 12 tracks in the album because to me it's just that good. It's no longer secret that P!nk is going to release an album with the most horrible cover artwork ever in history letting people know she's not dead yet which goes like this: and Popjustice teaches you how to recreate your own version of this piece of art in 10 easy steps here. "You will, no doubt, want to recreate a Pink album sleeve in the comfort of your own home." So finally a new phone for myself. Things I like: The design. Black. The flip. The big ass screen. The small external screen (at least there's one). The 2.0 mega pixel camera. Mp3 ring tone. X-changable cover. Things I don't like: No wire for connection to pc. (STUPID!) Keypad design. Not sony ericsson. (= no sony ericsson menu) That's it for now. It's rather impulsive but it's a long awaited impulse. It can't be the most amazing mobile phone that's ever been created but it's definitely the most amazing phone that fits my budget and probably the most nice looking phone out there too. Only thing is I'm so not sure whether it's all new by the time I removed the protective plastic sheet and found a few slight scratches that's either A) congenital or B) iatrogenic (translation - I'm either A) unlucky or B) duped) but anyway I think that kind of suspicion has to come to rest since afterall it is my new phone which can finally house my selection of wall paper and ring tone etc etc and I should be so happy about this already. ::: posted by Wings at 2/08/2006 07:59:00 AM
